Additional Programs

We look for any and every excuse to get kids reading. We’ll even make some up. Below are additional engagement opportunities that get children and their families around words.

Storybook Walks

These page-by-page journeys wind through parks and green spaces and are the perfect activity for readers and families on the go.

Find our permanent Storybook Walk in Fogerty Park in University City! Seasonal installations can be found at area green spaces and community centers during the summer months.

Block Parties

With a focus on literacy, our block parties celebrate literacy outside the classroom walls with book giveaways, storytelling, food, prizes, and more!

Little Free Libraries

At Storytime sites and in our Neighborhood-Reading-Captain communities, families have access to always-available books and literacy resources to encourage more reading in the home.
