In appreciation of 500+ hours of service, Ready Readers was among the recipients of the St. Louis Public Schools 2014 “Building Better Schools One Volunteer at a Time” award! Thank you to our volunteer readers who are inspiring children in the St. Louis Public Schools to become readers!

Our very own volunteer, Anne Skelton, was awarded the 2013 Volunteer Impact Award for her ongoing commitment to Kingdom House.  Thank you, Anne, for your years of reading to the children on behalf of Ready Readers!

Congrats to our volunteer reader, Jan McCurley, for receiving the 2013 President’s Volunteer Service Award from Kingdom House for her generous gift of over 100 hours of service!  So proud of you and thankful for you!

Our very own FABULOUS work study student, Bethany Swoboda, was honored as an Outstanding Student Employee by Webster University!  We couldn’t agree more!

We couldn’t be more proud, and thankful for, Board member, Suzie Nall, who received the 2013 Women of Worth (WOW) award from the Outstanding Women’s League, OWL. Obviously, we also think you’re outstanding, Suzie!


Volunteer Ready Reader Jenny Tustin Wins “Youth in Need” Service Award 

(Nov. 2011) Volunteer reader, Jenny Tustin, was awarded the Frank and Charlene Martinez Head Start/Early Head Start Volunteer Award of the Year for her hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm as a Ready Reader volunteer at a Youth-in-Need early childhood center.

Ready Readers Receives Community Service Award from the United Way of Greater St. Louis

(Oct. 2011) At United Way’s Launch Party for their new initiative, The Education Express, Ready Readers was given the United Way’s Community Service Award, presented by the City of St. Louis.
